We have a fantastic position for a Commis Chef in our new restaurant Hop Scotch at the brand new Courtyard by Marriott Glasgow SEC.
Responsibilities:
As a Commis Chef you’re on the first rung of the ladder to becoming a great chef. You will do food preparation work and basic cooking under the supervision of a Chef de Partie, rotating through sections such as sauce, vegetables, fish and butchery. This is your big chance to learn all there is to know about your trade.
* Maintaining high standards of hygiene
* Preparing the ingredients for a Chef de Partie, Sous Chef or Head Chef
* Measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately
* Dealing with deliveries and stock rotation
* Is flexible and creative
* Has a real passion for food
* Has team spirit
* Has a minimum of 1 year experience
* Is interested in all areas of the kitchen
* Is ambitious to grow within the company
* Is adaptive to every situation in hospitality
* Is well organised and resistant to stress!
