The programme encompasses terminal upgrades (including disability access improvements), terminal expansion works, and construction of supporting buildings and infrastructure. To support the ambitious programme scope, they are seeking an experienced Architect (RIBA 1-3) to join the project delivery team and contribute across design, compliance, and construction phases.ARCHITECT ROLE – Airport TransformationAs an Architect on the Airport Transformation Programme, you will lead architectural design and support construction delivery for terminal expansions, accessibility upgrades, and associated infrastructure works. You will work closely with engineering, project management, and construction teams from initial design through to completion, ensuring compliance with building regulations, CDM duties, and airport-specific requirements.Key responsibilities:Produce architectural designs and detailed drawings (public areas, terminal expansions, building works, etc.)Ensure designs comply with building regulations, CDM and health & safety requirementsCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams (structural, MEP, accessibility specialists) to integrate architectural solutions with airport operational constraintsUse Autodesk Revit for design, modelling, and drawingsSupport planning applications and liaise with authorities/regulators as requiredAssist with on-site architectural oversight and construction coordination when on siteMaintain clear documentation and design records for the lifetime of the projectARCHITECT – ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCERIBA Part 1–3 qualified with a strong track record in building design and constructionProven experience on medium- to large-scale building projects (preferably infrastructure, transport, or public buildings)Proficient in Autodesk Revit (modelling, drawing production, BIM workflows)Good knowledge of UK building regulations, CDM health & safety, and compliance standardsAbility to coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams (structural, MEP, accessibility, airport operations)Strong design, communication, and documentation skillsAbility to obtain SC clearanceTO BE CONSIDEREDPlease apply via this advert or email ryan.baker@searchability.com with your CV and a short covering note.
