To find out more about NHS Ayrshire and Arran please visit our website - NHS Ayrshire & Arran - Home (nhsaaa.net) Position: An opportunity for a highly motivated Community Psychiatric Charge Nurse to work with the Older Adult Community Mental Health Team in East Ayrshire where you will work with older people who have a range of complex mental health issues residing with Care Homes. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in close partnership with colleagues in primary care, community, social work and third sector. You will be based at Rothesy House and North West Area Centre Kilmarnock. Hours: 37 What you will do: The Older Adult Community Mental Health Team is embedded within the East Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership. As a registered Mental Health Nurse, on Part 3 of the NMC Register, you will be an integral member of the team working within a distinct locality within East Ayrshire providing assessment, care, support and interventions to patients and carers living in East Ayrshire. You will be highly motivated and prepared to innovate and develop practice working as part of an integrated and multi-disciplinary environment placing the older person and their care partners at the forefront of service delivery. You will have responsibility for the managerial supervision and clinical development of junior members of staff. further information on the role please click the link below to view the job description. Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a well-developed knowledge of care of older people with complex mental health problems and appropriate interventions coupled with organisational skills and ability to work as part of a Team are essential for this post. You will be educated to degree level or have a relevant post graduate qualification and experience relevant to job purpose.
