About the Role We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our children’s residential home. You will provide high-quality, child-centred care in line with Ofsted regulations, the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF), and the Children’s Homes National Minimum Standards (NMS). Key Responsibilities • Provide consistent, safe, and nurturing care to children and young people • Promote safeguarding and ensure children’s welfare is always paramount • Support children with daily routines, education, health, and social development • Implement care plans, behaviour support strategies, and risk assessments • Maintain accurate and timely records • Work effectively with colleagues and external professionals Essential Requirements • Experience working with children or young people in a care setting • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection • Ability to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins • Good communication and teamwork skills • Commitment to regulatory standards Desirable Criteria • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to work towards it • Experience supporting children with complex needs • Knowledge of trauma-informed care Safeguarding Statement We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
