Daily Rate: £100-£160 (depending on experience and responsibilities)

A well-regarded secondary school in Daventry is looking to appoint an Unqualified English Teacher from September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term role, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
The ideal applicant will already have experience teaching English or leading lessons in a secondary school setting and be looking to progress within the profession.
The Role:
Teach English Language and Literature to students in Key Stages 3 and 4
Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that support reading, writing, and analytical skills
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities
Contribute to curriculum planning, assessments, and whole-department initiatives
Maintain a positive, well-managed classroom environment
Participate in professional development and whole-school training
Who We're Looking For:
Someone with proven experience teaching or leading English lessons in a school setting
Strong subject knowledge in English, with the ability to plan and deliver lessons
Confident classroom presence with effective behaviour management skills
Excellent communication and organisational abilities
A desire to work towards QTS through a school-based route (e.g. PGCE, SCITT, QTS Apprenticeship)
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
