IT Support Engineer - London - Outside IR35
The Role
Our client is going through a key growth phase and is looking for a Systems & Support Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across a range of technologies—ideally within a capital markets or trading environment with in-house development teams.
This is a senior support and engineering role, covering everything from desktops and servers to networks, cloud platforms, and both bespoke and off-the-shelf applications.
They’re after someone technically strong, proactive, and adaptable, with experience in fast-moving, regulated environments where products are delivered to end customers.
Requirements:
* 2–3+ years in Technical/Application Support
* Solid Linux and Windows admin experience
* Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
* Networking fundamentals
* Office 365 admin
* SQL database experience
* Scripting with Python, Bash or PowerShell
* Familiarity with monitoring tools (PRTG, Grafana, OpenSearch, Prometheus)
Bonus Points For:
* AWS and Kubernetes
* No-code tools like Retool or Appsmith
* Exposure to SOC2 or ISO 27001
