Job Title: Logistics Coordinator
Location: Tilbury (Office-based)
Hours: Monday to Friday – 8:00am–4:00pm or 9:00am–5:00pm (some flexibility with hours may be needed)
About the Role
We are seeking an organised and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our clients team in Tilbury. This is a full-time, on-site position within a fast-paced, global logistics environment.
The successful candidate will support the coordination of day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring the smooth movement of goods while delivering a high level of service to customers and internal stakeholders. This role plays a key part in maintaining operational efficiency across transport, warehousing, and administration functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate end-to-end logistics activities, including transport scheduling and shipment monitoring
* Act as a point of contact for customer and warehouse queries, ensuring timely and accurate responses
* Prepare, process, and maintain logistics documentation and records
* Support warehouse operations through effective communication and coordination
* Raise, check, and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
* Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve issues efficiently
* Ensure compliance with relevant transport, safety, and regulatory requirements
* Manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a time-sensitive environment
* Support month-end activities, requiring flexibility with working hours when needed
Skills & Experience Required
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Confident dealing with customers and internal operational teams
* Previous experience in logistics, freight forwarding, warehousing, or supply chain essential
* Excellent IT skills, including experience with administrative and logistics systems
* Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team
