Quality Improvement Manager
Location: Winfield Hospital
Hours: Part Time - 24 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Improvement Manager to join our team at Winfield Hospital. This pivotal role supports the Head of Clinical Services (HoCS) in delivering robust clinical governance, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving continuous improvement across the hospital.
You will work collaboratively with staff at all levels to implement quality and safety initiatives, monitor performance, and provide expert advice on governance matters. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional passionate about improving patient outcomes and fostering a culture of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Support the HoCS in meeting clinical governance requirements and reporting to internal and external stakeholders
Lead continuous improvement processes to achieve measurable outcomes
Monitor and audit adverse incidents, identify trends, and support investigations
Coordinate responses to external accreditation, inspections, and reviews
Deliver training on governance, risk management, and patient safety initiatives
Analyse clinical data, produce detailed reports, and develop action plans to address compliance gaps
Facilitate communication across all staff groups and escalate issues where necessary
Support the implementation of quality and safety projects within agreed timeframes
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives in a healthcare setting
Strong knowledge of legislative requirements and governing body reporting for hospital services
Understanding of clinical risk management strategies that promote high-quality patient care
Experience in analysing clinical information and producing reports for committees and stakeholders
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire clinical teams
Advanced IT skills, including data manipulation and analysis using Excel and performance management systems
Working knowledge of SharePoint administration
Desirable
Experience with clinical audit programmes and systems such as RiskMan
Familiarity with PSIRF/RCA coordination and patient safety agendas
