Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust (SCFT) is seeking to appoint a dynamic and motivated individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join the Paediatric Physiotherapy team based at the Chichester Child Development Centre for a part-time position - 15 hours per week.
The post holder will manage a caseload of paediatric patients presenting with a range of musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, neurological, and neurodevelopmental conditions. The primary focus of this role will be on paediatric musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions.
Ideally, candidates should have experience in the assessment and treatment of children and young people with neurodevelopmental, orthopaedic, and musculoskeletal conditions.
We offer regular in-service training, peer supervision, and clinical support. The service is supported by dedicated paediatric special interest groups and a Countywide Professional Lead.
Main duties of the job
The Paediatric Physiotherapy service aims to provide expert assessment, treatment, and advice to children and young people aged 0 to 19 years. We work to educate and support families, carers, and other healthcare professionals, including school and early years staff. Support will also be provided to facilitate the transition of young people into adult services.
You will be an effective team player, flexible, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care. Motivation to support service development is essential. Excellent time management skills are required to manage a busy caseload. Service delivery is primarily based at the Weshampnett Centre, with care also provided in patients' homes, schools, and the wider community.
The role requires you to be a car owner and driver with a full UK license. Current HCPC registration is also necessary.
