Were looking for a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager (Fixed-Term Contract until 2028) to join our brand-new Tilbury Grinding Station, a state-of-the-art cement terminal. This is a rare opportunity to shape and establish the health and safety culture from the ground up. As the site is newly commissioned, youll have the unique chance to design, implement, and embed HSE systems, policies, and practices that will set the benchmark for years to come. In this pivotal site-based role, youll lead the day-to-day safety and compliance agenda, working closely with operational, engineering, and contractor teams. Youll take full responsibility for ensuring compliance with UK regulations and wider Holcim standards across all areas of site operation from maintenance and production to lab and logistics activities. As the key health and safety presence on-site, youll: Champion and embed a strong safety culture from day one Deliver essential training and inductions Develop and roll out risk assessments and safe systems of work Lead on incident management and investigation Drive continuous improvement in HSE performance Who you are Youll have direct Health & Safety experience with a NEBOSH Certificate to back up that proven experience. Youll have worked in industrial or manufacturing settings. You bring a proactive approach to HSE improvement, with strong knowledge of UK legislation and the ability to influence positive change.
