As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents by helping them improve their daily living skills. Where will I be working?
You will be part of our dedicated team in Clayton, where we provide 24-hour care for adults with Learning Disabilities and additional health needs. We are looking for compassionate individuals to support our service users, who require a high level of assistance, including personal care and hoisting.
Important: You MUST be a driver to be considered for this role, as you will be responsible for transporting service users to their daily activities and appointments.
Your Role and Responsibilities
What will I be doing?
This is a hands-on position where no two days are the same! Your responsibilities will include:
* Promoting the independence of the individuals we support
* Assisting with daily activities such as cleaning, cooking, and outings
* Organizing engaging activities both at home and in the community
* Helping residents develop life skills and pursue personal interests
* Ensuring the safety and well-being of residents
* Providing personal care assistance
* Conducting manual handling tasks
* Supporting medication management, including creams and lotions
* Maintaining accurate records and contributing to service monitoring

What skills and qualities do I need?
While experience with learning disabilities and complex needs is a plus, it’s not essential. What truly matters is that you are:
* Passionate, caring, and enthusiastic
* Flexible, patient, and non-judgmental
* A great team player with plenty of energy
* Skilled in effective communication
* Able to handle the physical aspects of the role, including manual handling
* Experienced in helping individuals manage anxiety
