Overview
The Supply Chain Coordinator is an administrative role that requires strong attention to detail to improve the efficiency and operation of the team. It requires a sound knowledge of the wider Supply Chain environment and a good understanding of the market that Hobbycraft trades in.
The role takes responsibility for coordinating and communicating responses from stores and suppliers, creating adhoc orders and supporting the Supply Chain team with stock queries and requests. A key part is keeping documentation up to date and managing data entry into software.
Strong working relations with key stakeholders should be built to enable the coordinator to operate cross functionally and achieve results as part of a team. A proactive and problem‑solving approach is necessary, ensuring a timely response to fast‑changing priorities.
Key Accountabilities
* Manage the Supply Chain Inbox and deal with queries from stores and suppliers; liaising with other cross‑functional teams where required
* Respond to adhoc stock requests and supply‑chain queries from other functions
* Create and prioritise adhoc purchase orders or store transfers to support the Supply Chain team
* Work with external suppliers to support the timely arrival of purchase orders to the Distribution Centre and store base
* Contact suppliers to obtain Proof of Delivery where required
* Collate and circulate reports used by the Supply Chain team and wider business
* Support the Supply Chain team with key tasks as required; may involve participation in strategic projects or working groups to provide workload support

* Experience with a variety of IT software including data entry and purchase‑order management
* Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
* At least 1 year’s experience in a retail environment preferable
