Job Title: Logistics Manager (maternity cover)
Reporting to: Director of IT & Operations
Role Overview:
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for the whole international supply chain, from production and distribution through to wholesalers, retailers and our Flagship Store as well as E-commerce. It is the role of the Logistics Manager to coordinate this flow effectively on a strategic and daily basis. You will ensure that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost. You will also be responsible for managing 3rd party logistics and freight orders.
Key Accountabilities
* Build successful relationships with the warehouses both in person and remotely.
* Ensure data control accuracy regarding stock and flows.
* Manage relationships effectively both internally and externally.
* Work proactively with executives, translating the supply chain strategy, obstacles and
solutions effectively.
* Work on new supply chain contracts, deep understanding logistic flows and custom
regulation to deliver a comprehensive logistics operations strategy.
* Understanding the implication of Customs/Duty Taxe on Supply Chain, Logistics
flow and provide direction for solutions.
* Understand IT systems, to manage stock levels, delivery times and transport costs
* Use associated information systems to coordinate and control the order cycle
* Use data from IT systems to evaluate performance and quality and to plan
improvements
* Allocate and manage resources according to changing needs
* Develop business by gaining new contracts, analysing logistical problems and
producing new solutions
* Understand, work with team to develop improved operational flows
* Continually try to improve and develop business performance within the constraints
of legislation, fuel costs and rising environmental pressures
* Manage staff training issues
* Motivate other members of the team
* Plan and manage projects
* Use specialist knowledge and provide consultancy services
Skills & Experience
* 5+ years’ experience
* A business, computing, distribution or, management degree is preferred.
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written across all levels of an
organisation.
* A logical and systematic approach to work

creative solutions
* Commercial awareness and numeracy skills
