Financial Accountant - Fixed Term Contract
We are looking for a qualified ACCA or ACA Financial Accountant with a strong audit background to join one of our Peterborough-based clients on a 15-month fixed-term contract.
This is an excellent interim opportunity to work with a leading local business currently undergoing an exciting period of growth, change, and transformation.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts.
* Managing intercompany reconciliations.
* Leading group reporting and helping to streamline reporting processes.
* Planning and coordinating year-end and interim audits.
* Acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
* Supporting internal audit processes and strengthening internal controls.
* Reconciling balance sheet accounts and reviewing journal entries.
* Providing financial insights, variance analysis, and reporting to senior management.
* Assisting with the development and improvement of accounting policies, processes, and systems.
* Mentoring and supporting junior finance team members as required.
About You
* Fully qualified Accountant (ACCA or ACA).
* Proven experience in leading and supporting audits.
* Strong technical accounting knowledge with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Hybrid working, 2 days in the office, 3 from home.
* Salary up to £60,000 (depending on experience).
