SEND TA/Teaching Assistant Location: Birmingham Salary: £12.82- £14.88 hourly Contract: Part time, Full time, temporary Monday- Friday TERM TIME ONLY, until the end of the academic year with the potential to continue in September. Have you got experience working experience working with children or adults who have SEND or Social Emotional or Mental Health needs? Have you worked as a support worker or in the care field? Perhaps you have a psychology or education related degree? If so, we have an exciting position available where you'll have the chance to make a positive impact on the lives of their students. Although the job is Temporary, many of our roles turn into permanent roles if you impress the school. You'll be immersing students in interactive learning experiences outdoors, as well as guiding students in arts and crafts, music, and other sensory-based activities tailored to their needs. The following skills would be advantageous: Proactive and full of determination Open to practical or sensory ways of learning Willing to use creativity to explore self-expression Caring and attentive Enthusiastic in their approach to learning The ideal candidate would have: A knowledge of PMLD, BSL or Makaton is a HUGE advantage Experience working in a school or education-based setting preferred but not essential Experience of SEND children Benefits of working with Monarch Education: You will be paid a competitive daily wage, based on your experience.
