Mechanical / Electronics Engineering Lecturer Darlithydd Mecanyddol/Electroneg
Pembrokeshire College has an exciting opportunity for two Mechanical/Electronics Lecturers to join our highly successful and forward‑thinking Engineering team, where innovation, collaboration and real‑world experience come together to shape the engineers of tomorrow.

Salary Details: Scale: MG1‑UP1 (currently £33,596‑£48,288 per annum). Opportunity to progress to a further scale: UP2‑UP3 (currently £50,079‑£51,932 per annum).
Hours of Work: Full Time – 37 hours per week (equivalent to 835 annual teaching hours). We welcome applications from those who are interested in fewer hours or part‑time teaching.
Contract Type: Salaried – Permanent.
Holiday Entitlement: 46 days Annual Leave plus eight Bank Holidays & College closure days per annum.
Qualifications (English):
* Qualified or working toward a Level 4 in Mechanical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
* If you do not hold a recognised teaching qualification (such as PGCE), you will be required to undertake and achieve a PGCE within a specified timescale. The PGCE will be fully funded by Pembrokeshire College and you will be given the appropriate time to attend the in‑house course.
* Support will be provided in gaining a TAQA Level 3 and an IQA Level 4 qualification during employment.
Qualifications (Welsh):
* Byddwch naill ai wedi’ch cymhwyso neu’n gweithio tuag at Lefel 4 mewn Peirianneg Fecanyddol/Electronig neu gymhwyster cyfatebol mewn disgyblaeth beirianneg berthnasol.
* Os nad oes gennych gymhwyster addysgu cydnabyddedig (fel TAR), bydd gofyn i chi ymgymryd’r cymhwyster TAR a’i gyflawni o fewn amserlen benodol. Bydd y TAR yn cael ei ariannu’n llawn gan Goleg Sir Benfro a chewch yr amser priodol i fynychu’r cwrs mewnol.
* Byddwch hefyd yn cael eich cefnogi i ennill cymhwyster Lefel 3 TAQA a Lefel 4 IQA yn ystod eich cyflogaeth.
You will bring relevant industrial experience, along with a genuine passion for inspiring the next generation of engineers. You’ll be eager to share your expertise with learners across a range of levels and disciplines, helping them build the skills and confidence to succeed. Experience within the engineering industry is essential and, while not essential, an understanding of emerging renewable energy technologies within the region would be highly advantageous.
