Moog Aircraft Group is recruiting for an Engineer to join our Research and Development team in Tewkesbury, UK. This is an opportunity to join an industry-leading business that is forward-thinking and proactive.
Moog's products are used in safety-critical aerospace applications, requiring high performance, integrity, and reliability. This is an in-depth hands-on role contributing to the design, analysis, development, testing, and qualification of complex flight and engine control products used on military and commercial aircraft.
The successful applicant will join a team of Engineers and should be a team player, a good communicator at all levels, and computer literate. From time to time there may be a need for overseas travel.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to the design, analysis, development, testing, and qualification of complex flight and engine control products.
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver engineering solutions for aerospace applications.
* Produce clear and concise analysis and test reports.
* Present technical detail to customers at all levels.
Disciplines
* Electro-mechanical, electro-hydraulic and/or mechatronic control components/systems
* Mathematical modelling (e.g., Excel, MathCAD, MATLAB/Simulink, FEA)
* 3D design and 2D drawing creation
* Knowledge of aerospace materials and their properties
* Awareness of common machining and fabrication processes
* Development of assembly techniques and associated tooling
* Development of qualification test methods
* Aerospace configuration control and quality systems
* Awareness of project management principles
* Personal integrity, objectivity, and honesty
Academic Qualifications
Degree or HNC in a relevant engineering discipline.
