JOB PURPOSE:
To support the Green Spaces team in delivering a quality Grass Cutting Service on Highway Urban and Rural Verges, central reservation, and other locations.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:
Carry out grass cutting, and grounds maintenance activities as instructed by the Charge Hand and Superintendent on Highway adjacent verges, central reservations and all other areas indicated. As instructed strim around obstacles in both a Rural and Urban environment. Use equipment and machinery for grass cutting including- ride on mowers, pedestrian mowers, strimmers, blowers, and other handheld tools. Be responsible for the safe keeping and proper operation of the fleet, plant and equipment allocated report, damage, and defect and assisting the Superintendent with efficient management of these resources. Drive vehicles of up to 3.5 T. Communicate and respond to general public enquires on site whilst undertaking duties and escalating to Superintendent when necessary. To actively participate in excellent health and safety practices and operate in a safe and responsible manner.
