Who are we?
Morrison Water Services are part of Integrated Operational Solutions (I0S) Alliance – Part of the Anglian Water network, the IOS was set up in 2015 to concentrate on water recycling and clean water. The maintenance and refurbishment of the key infrastructure is managed by MWS we ensure everything is maintained and improvements made where necessary to ensure the infrastructures longevity and effectiveness.
What you will be doing as our Planner?
Effective Planning is a cornerstone of successful Project Management. The project plan is the roadmap to us delivering the project on time. It allows us to: Identify the whole scope of the project and the resources required to deliver it, to understand and manage our key interfaces, identify, manage and mitigate risks, and to identify, exploit and maximise opportunities. The Planner is a key member of the integrated project delivery teams in the IOS Alliance. You will be working in an integrated project delivery team to collaboratively develop and maintain accurate and robust project plans. You will be working closely with all other members of the team including Construction, Commercial, and Engineering. You will take ownership of the project plan, drive the project team to deliver to the plan and challenge any delay and deviation.
You will have at least five years’ experience of working on large scale or significant value projects within the engineering sector, preferably in the Water Industry. MS Project experience is essential.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaboratively develop and maintain robust detailed project plans for the Delivery Team in accordance with IOS and AW requirements.
2. Liaise with Delivery Teams to ensure consistency of key assumptions on methodology and outputs etc.
3. Ensure project plans capture the full project scope.
4. Attend site regularly to gather programme update information
5. Ensure planning standards are maintained across IOS and published processes are adhered to.
6. Take ownership of the integrity of your project plans and ensure they stand up to detailed scrutiny.
7. Complete and comply with all operational site H&S requirements to ensure safe working practices.
Key Experiences/Skills & qualifications:
8. Site based or engineering background would be preferable.
9. Experience in one or more of civils, water, wastewater, M&E.
10. Knowledge of current HSE requirements.
11. Good communicator able to communicate detailed data to a non-data literate audience.
12. Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workloads.
13. Ability to adapt and challenge.
