The shift pattern for this post is Monday – Friday 8.30 - 16.30

Post Title: Senior Dental Officer – Special Care (1 year fixed term)
Base: Victoria ACH and Stobhill Hospital
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit to the post of Senior Dental Officer (Special Care) to support the clinical management and treatment of Special Care patients within the Public Dental Service (PDS) in NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde.
The successful candidate will be involved in the treatment of complex and vulnerable patients both registered and referred to the Public Dental Service, utilising a range of clinical techniques including sedation and general anaesthetic within both fixed and mobile clinics.
The post holder must be registered with the General Dental Council as a dentist.
The successful applicant will be expected to have regular contact with a range of partners including:
* Public Dental Service staff
* Complex Needs Team Members
* Glasgow University
* Secondary Care dental colleagues
* Oral Health Improvement Teams
The post holder will be required to work 37.5 hrs per week (part-time and job share requests will be considered), to provide clinical care and leadership across all services within their remit.
