Primary SEN Teacher
Working in a SEN School for children complex speech, language and communication difficulties
Have a clear understanding of the needs of all pupils
Planning and delivering creative and engaging SEN lessons that are personalized to support all pupils
Promote holistic development of all pupils
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and therapists
Inner London pay scale MPS 1 M6 + SEN allowance
Located in Merton
Person Specification Primary SEN Teacher
MUST HAVE UK QTS
Good academics required - GCSEs, A Levels and Degree
Strong understanding of the SEN curriculum & teaching standards
Personal or professional experience of working with children with SEN
Experience and / or interest in working with more complex SEN
Experience using symbolised communication systems to support learning
Confidence, enthusiasm and a passion for learning
Experience of using a range of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all pupils
Resilient and adaptable
Ability to differentiate approach based on individual needs
Calm and patient approach, promoting a nurturing learning environment whilst supporting challenging behaviours
Confident & strong classroom management skills, appropriate to childrens needs
