The Role
They are seeking a skilled EDM Machinist (Spark Erosion) to join their expanding team. You’ll be working primarily on a Makino EDM machine, but we welcome applications from candidates with experience on other EDM spark erosion machinery – with training provided to get you up to speed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Setting and operating EDM spark erosion machinery to manufacture precision aerospace components.
* Reading and interpreting detailed aerospace engineering drawings.
* Producing parts to tight tolerances, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
* Performing in-process inspections and adjusting as required.
* Supporting continuous improvement and maintaining a safe, efficient working environment.
About You
We are interested in candidates with varied EDM spark erosion experience, from those highly experienced with Makino systems to machinists from other EDM backgrounds ready to transfer their skills.
You will ideally have:
* Previous EDM spark erosion machining experience in a precision engineering environment (aerospace preferred).
* Familiarity with Makino EDM machinery (training provided if experienced with other brands).
* Ability to work from complex engineering drawings and to very tight tolerances.
* A strong eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
* A proactive approach and willingness to learn and develop.
