We work with our community to enable, encourage and inspire action on climate change and sustainable living.We are volunteer-led, collaborative and community-focused, with over 7,000 members and around 90 active volunteers. We value partnership, inclusivity and wellbeing, and aim to create non-judgemental spaces that are vibrant, supportive and regenerative.ABOUT THE ROLE:As our Finance Assistant, you will support the smooth running of the charity’s financial administration. You will be organised, reliable and comfortable working with financial data, systems and processes, supporting colleagues across the organisation.WHAT YOU WILL DO:Support the financial administration and accounting function of the charityMaintain accurate and up-to-date financial recordsProcess and reconcile income, including Gift AidProcess supplier invoices, expense claims, petty cash and other paymentsReconcile bank and nominal accountsSupport monthly payroll processesWork collaboratively with budget holders and fundraisersContribute to the wider finance function and support the team as neededWHAT YOU WILL BRING:Experience of working in a finance role within a UK charityBookkeeping experience ideally supported by an AAT qualification or equivalentStrong numerical skills and attention to detailConfidence using financial systems and spreadsheetsGood organisational and time management skillsClear and effective communication skillsAn understanding of confidentiality and data protectionA collaborative approach and enthusiasm for Greener and Cleaner’s mission Please note: The successful candidate will be subject to a reference and enhanced DBS check, in line with Greener and Cleaner's safer recruitment procedures.To Apply If you feel you are a suitable candidate and would like to work for Greener and Cleaner, please do not hesitate to apply.
