We are looking for a Social Care Officer to join a respected Family Time Service in Newcastle. The organisation is dedicated to helping children and their families spend safe, meaningful, and positive time together. You'll be part of a passionate and supportive team committed to ensuring children feel safe, happy, and heard. Key Responsibilities Support and supervise Family Time sessions between children and their parents or immediate family members. Build positive relationships with children, families, foster carers, and schools. Transport children to and from their sessions in a safe and reliable way. Observe and record Family Time sessions, offering guidance to families when needed. Share clear information with Social Workers to support family assessments. Help create a safe, fun, and supportive environment for children and families during their time together. Key Requirements Experience working with children, young people, or families-especially those who may be vulnerable or facing challenges. Strong communication and observation skills. Ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism. Reliable, organised, and confident working independently. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing.
