PMLD & SLD Support Assistant Location: North Yorkshire Working hours: 8:45am-3:45pm, ideally full time The school supports pupils aged 2–19 years with PMLD, SLD and physical disabilities, and is proud of its nurturing, inclusive and progressive approach. The right candidate will: Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND, particularlyPMLD, SLD or physical difficulties Be compassionate, patient and resilient, with a calm and nurturing approach Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and child welfare Be confident supporting pupils with personal care and mobility needs (training provided) Hold a Psychology, SEND, Health & Social Care or related qualification (desirable) Be familiar with, or keen to learn about, tailored interventions, sensory approaches and alternative communication strategies Hold an enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the update service Interested candidates are invited to submit a comprehensive CV outlining their teaching experience and qualifications which are relevant to this role.
