Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on, analytical, and commercially-minded Senior Pricing Manager to lead our pricing strategy and execution across customer segments. This role is vital for supporting HIVED’s growth, impacting customer acquisition, network profitability, and operational efficiency. You will collaborate with commercial and operations teams to develop pricing models, support bids, and optimize pricing frameworks. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the VP of Commercial Strategy, offering high visibility and cross-functional engagement.
Responsibilities
1. Customer Pricing & Commercial Support
o Own the end-to-end pricing process for new and existing customers, including proposal development with Business Development and account managers.
o Support negotiations and presentations, articulating pricing rationale.
o Align pricing strategies with customer segments and commercial goals.
o Develop tools to streamline quoting processes.
2. Pricing Strategy & Profitability
o Design and implement strategies to improve customer acquisition, retention, and profitability.
o Establish frameworks and metrics to monitor pricing performance.
o Identify opportunities to simplify pricing while maintaining competitiveness.
3. Data Analysis & Modelling
o Create pricing models, forecasts, and profitability simulations using Excel, SQL, and Python.
o Develop dashboards and tools to assess pricing effectiveness.
o Translate complex data into actionable insights.
4. Market Intelligence & Benchmarking
o Conduct market benchmarking and competitor analysis.
o Identify industry trends and recommend actions.
o Collaborate with operations to understand costs and model their impact on pricing.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
o Work with operations to align pricing with service levels and costs.
o Partner with finance on revenue forecasting and margin analysis.
o Serve as the internal pricing expert.
Requirements
* At least 3 years of experience in pricing roles, preferably in supply chain, tech, or last-mile delivery.
* Proven support for commercial teams with pricing recommendations and bids.
* Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Python.
* Experience in building models, forecasts, dashboards, and simulations.
* Good business acumen, understanding pricing, margins, and operations interplay.
* Excellent communication skills to explain complex decisions and gain stakeholder buy-in.
