The company is currently seeking a Software Developer to join its collaborative, fast-paced development team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a well-established platform with real-world impact, contributing to the continuous enhancement and expansion of its digital learning products.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Work as part of a small, agile team to design, build, test, and roll out new features and improvements to our LMS platform.
* Pick up development tickets, figure out what’s needed, build the solution, and take it through code review and into production.
* Collaborate with teams across the business, including product, support, marketing, and sales, to make sure what you’re building meets everyone’s needs.
* Maintain and optimise existing systems to improve performance, scalability, and security.
* Get involved in DevOps tasks using AWS, such as:
* Monitoring and responding to infrastructure issues
* Managing deployments and environments
* Finding ways to improve performance and reduce costs
* Take part in code reviews to keep our standards high and our codebase clean.
* Keep clear documentation so everyone’s on the same page.
* Stay up to date with new technologies and suggest ideas to make our platform even better.
What You’ll Need
* Solid experience with PHP, Laravel, TypeScript, Vue, and MySQL.
* Great communication skills with the ability to explain technical ideas to non-technical people.
* A good understanding of testing, documentation, and version control.
* The ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Bonus Points For
* Experience using Git or another version control system.
* Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
* Experience with relational and non-relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
* Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
* Knowledge of UI/UX principles and accessibility standards.
* An interest in e-learning technologies or LMS platforms.
