Job Description: The Analyst - Data Centre Operations will aid in the deployment, operation, and management of the customers in its centres. Reporting to the Manager - Data Centre Operations, this role primarily includes managing whitespace, colocation, managed customer racks, data cabling, power management, hardware installation, circuit installations, media handling, and fulfilling tasks for customers on the data centre floor as required.
Please note - a full clean UK driving license is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide operational support to all customers at Redcentric Sites, including verbal, written, and face-to-face communication.
* Manage maintenance and record keeping using prescribed systems like Ticketing, Capacity, and Tracking Systems.
* Conduct work such as site and rack audits, cabling, cross connects, decommissioning, tape rotation, etc.
* Maintain physical hosting infrastructure including racks, patch panels, data and power trays, cabling, and cross connects.
* Assist the Site Manager in maintaining site appearance and functionality, including cleanliness, rubbish removal, deliveries, and supporting mechanical and electrical functions.
* Communicate with customers to manage support and setup requirements and assist internal teams as needed.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, maintaining a professional and supportive environment.
* Provide Service Desk support by managing calls, emails, and other communications from customers.
Security Responsibilities:
* Adhere to all relevant company security policies and procedures.
* Ensure data protection and information security, preventing unauthorized access and damage.
* Report security issues promptly to relevant personnel.

This includes the knowledge, experience, and competencies required for acceptable performance in this role.
Qualifications and Professional Memberships:
* Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
* Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
* ITIL V3
Technical Competencies:
* Minimum one year experience in a similar role, such as in Business Continuity or Managed Services environment
* Experience handling and storing customer data
* Understanding of data cabling installation, management, and patching
* Experience with ticketing systems
* Knowledge of IT systems and rack installation
* Customer service experience
* Proficiency in advanced applications like Excel, SharePoint, Google Docs, Office 365
* Hardware troubleshooting and maintenance experience
Skills and Behavioral Competencies:
* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Problem-solving skills and proactive attitude
Special Requirements:
* Shift work involved, including 24/7 operations
* Full UK Driver's license required, with the ability to drive between different Data Centre sites as needed.
