Senior Planning Engineer: Coordinating Project Success
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Planning Engineer to join a dynamic team in delivering complex projects across the UK.
The role will involve developing, managing, and updating project programmes to ensure accurate integration and coordination of Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation (ME&I) activities.
Closer collaboration with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients is required to provide clear and reliable planning information supporting project delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and maintaining detailed project programmes using Primavera P6
* Integrating ME&I planning elements within the overall project schedule
* Monitoring progress, identifying risks, and proposing mitigation strategies
* Providing programme updates, forecasts, and reports for internal and external stakeholders
* Supporting the preparation of extension of time claims and delay analysis
* Attending regular client, subcontractor, and internal planning meetings
Requirements for the candidate include:
* Proven experience as a Senior Planning Engineer within infrastructure, energy, or process industries
* Strong background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation (ME&I) projects
* Advanced user of Primavera P6 planning software
* Sound understanding of project management principles and construction methodologies
* Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills
* Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
