Key Responsibilities:
Energy
* Overseeing global and regional supply contracts for electricity and gas.
* Maintaining and executing GSK's Global Hedging Policy, including risk and contract management.
* Contract Management of Energy Bureau market intelligence provider(s).
* Managing stakeholder relationships up to the Senior Vice President level, navigating complex internal approval processes and stakeholder buy in to category strategy recommendations.
* Lead the Energy Risk Policy meetings, issuing budgets on a quarterly and annual basis.
* Supporting global energy efficiency projects and managing compliance schemes such as the EU Emissions Trading System.
Sustainability
* Maintaining and executing GSK's Global Voluntary Carbon Programme, including risk and contract management. This includes fund analysis and other financial instruments working with Sustainability, Treasury and Corporate Finance teams.
* Providing commercial support for sustainability initiatives and the Engineering Centre of Excellence teams to execute GSK's renewable electricity strategy and Scope 1 decarbonization programme.
* Lead internal audit response for Renewable Energy programmes in line with established policies and timelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Relevant experience in utilities, finance or similar commodity/trading procurement and a strong understanding of risk management.
* A university degree in business, finance, or engineering, with preferred qualifications including a master’s degree.
* Excellent communication skills with proven experience in executive level storytelling.
* Proficiency in English, with additional language skills being advantageous.
* Proven negotiation and contract management skills, along with leadership and communication abilities.
Desired Qualification:
* This position requires a professional who can exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships, and who can prioritize multiple tasks across various projects using project management skills
