Job Summary As our IT I&O Engineer, you’ll be monitoring and maintaining our organisation’s computer systems and networks, migrating/decommissioning company systems and installing new systems to deadlines, training users on systems and assisting other departments with technical sales/support queries. The role also involves a mix of 2nd/3rd line support and Project delivery. Responsibilities Building and maintaining valuable relationships with colleagues and departments. Responding to I.T support requests via our Service Desk Ensuring support activity aligns with ‘Shift Left’ principle where possible. Responsible for the resolution of 2nd and 3rd line request on our Service Desk. Identifying underlying problems attributed to incidents and resolving the underlying cause. Deploying, Supporting, Management and troubleshooting or all I&O systems and services. Lead or provide Technical leadership on Business Projects. Coordinate with I&O Technicians for fixes and improvements to systems or workflows. Backup and Restore testing. MS Office application management MS Exchange system management Supporting branch office equipment remotely Planning and leading migrations and deployments. Decommissioning of infrastructure End user and I&O Colleague training on new systems Maintaining documentation and guides for both I&O colleagues and Staff. Managing the Asset register, CMDB. Maintaining and responding to the PRTG alerting system. The job holder is expected to understand and work according to the requirements of the Techbuyer Quality Management System Required Skills or Training CompTIA N or demonstrable experience. Solid understanding for Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy. Solid understanding of 365, Entra and Azure. MD102, MS102, AZ800 and AZ801 or demonstrable experience. Experience of multi-site infrastructure desirable Knowledge of MFA/2FA solutions Excellent listening and questioning skills
