Overview
As a Head Chef at HC-One, kindness is at the heart of everything you do. You will inspire your kitchen team to deliver high-quality, nutritious meals that our Residents will genuinely enjoy, while supporting their health and wellbeing with consideration of individual dietary needs, cultural preferences, and nutritional requirements. You will manage the kitchen efficiently, overseeing stock, budgets, orders, and compliance with food safety standards such as HACCP. You will work with central teams to maintain nutritional excellence and run a smooth, well-organised kitchen operation, shaping mealtimes into enjoyable, ambient dining experiences.

Responsibilities
* Inspire and lead the kitchen team to deliver high-quality, nutritious meals for Residents.
* Ensure all dishes support Residents' health and wellbeing, with attention to dietary needs, cultural preferences, and nutritional requirements.
* Maintain hygiene and safety with diligent stock management, ordering, budgeting, and compliance with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP).
* Collaborate with central teams to uphold nutritional excellence and a smooth kitchen operation.
* Shape mealtimes into enjoyable, ambient dining experiences.
* Attend safeguarding training appropriate to the role and recognise signs of abuse, harm, or neglect; report concerns and escalate if necessary.
Qualifications
* An S/NVQ2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery
* A minimum Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate
* A good understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)
