The Role
We are seeking a Senior Engineer to design and oversee the installation of new street lighting, along with maintaining existing street light assets. The role involves advising and guiding on technical requirements of new street light designs, managing the work undertaken by the contractor on street light stock, ensuring compliance with standards, and keeping asset information up to date. It offers operational and strategic responsibilities and opportunities to represent the council at local, regional, and national levels.
What We Are Looking For
* Experience: Substantial experience in the design, installation and maintenance of Street Lighting.
* Knowledge: Extensive understanding of the national policy context and regulatory environment.
* Skills: Excellent resource management, problem‑solving abilities, and a commitment to integrity, transparency, and accountability.
* Innovation: Ability to identify opportunities for improvements.
