Reporting to the Site Manager/Electrical Supervisor and working with a range of trades and subcontractors, your responsibilities will include ensuring proper storage and protection of materials, maintaining site safety and order, and helping us deliver quality homes on time and within budget. You will be expected to:
1. Carry out all on-site works as instructed by the Site Manager, adhering to BDW Trade Specifications, standards, and procedures.
2. Take personal responsibility for health and safety, working in accordance with method and risk assessments.
3. Keep the working area clean and tidy, prevent trip hazards, and wear appropriate PPE.
4. Maintain clear access to plots and escape routes.
5. Ensure all electrical installations comply with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
6. Complete first fix electrical work correctly.
7. Ensure second fix materials are correct, undamaged, and installed defect-free.
8. Complete electrical domestic installation certificates and fire detection and alarm commissioning certificates.
9. Complete all necessary paperwork on project completion and file appropriately.
10. Manage materials to ensure timely delivery and undamaged kits.
11. Requisition additional materials for variations and extras as needed.
To succeed in this role, candidates should be:
* Hardworking, reliable, and trustworthy.
* Hold SVQ Level 3 and recognized apprenticeships.
* Possess SJIB recognized 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) and Inspection & Testing qualifications.
* Hold a valid CSCS card.
