Volunteer Community Art Tutor | WIILMA Music, Arts & Heritage

Join to apply for the Volunteer Community Art Tutor role at Fiete Netwark. WIILMA exists to reduce loneliness and isolation and increase community cohesion. We are seeking a volunteer Community Art Tutor with an enthusiastic, warm personality to run workshops based on engaging themes.

* Experience in a group facilitation role.
* Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and age groups.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Creative flair and knowledge of various art forms and techniques.
* Commitment to the charity’s values and mission to combat loneliness and foster community connection.
* Ability to work reliably and as part of a team.
* Willingness to listen, learn, and adapt to the needs of the community.
* DBS check may be required.

What will you be doing?

* Design and deliver engaging arts workshops and activities for individuals and groups, catering to different skill levels and interests.
* Plan and prepare for sessions by sourcing materials and ensuring the space is set up to facilitate creative activities.
* Encourage active participation and foster a sense of belonging among participants, helping them connect through art and shared experiences.
* Promote workshops and activities within the community to reach a wide range of individuals who might benefit from arts engagement.
* Offer guidance and support to participants as they develop their artistic skills and explore their creativity.
* Maintain a positive and supportive environment, fostering a sense of community and connection.
* Handle materials and the space responsibly, ensuring materials are tidied away and the space is left clean and tidy after each session.
