If muddy paw prints, wagging tails, and the occasional head-butt from a cat sound like your kind of day, keep reading. We're looking for reliable Pet Sitters to join Birddog Catwalk, the go-to local name for premium, eco-friendly pet care. This isn't just a "walk in the park" (though there will be plenty of those) — it's about providing safe, loving care and keeping owners reassured while they're away.
What you'll be doing:
* Walking and caring for dogs (big and small), cats, and the odd small pet in clients' homes.
* Staying overnight in clients' homes (12- or 24-hour periods) when needed.
* Sending regular updates, photos, and notes to owners via your company phone.
* Recording key details from each job (feeding times, behaviour notes, walk logs).
* Following the Birddog Catwalk way of working: responsible, eco-conscious, and caring.
What we're looking for in a Pet Sitter:
* Confident and safe handling animals of all sizes.
* Full, clean UK driving licence.
* Happy to undergo a DBS check.
* Experience with dogs, cats, and preferably other small pets.
* Strong customer service skills (owners are just as important as their pets).
* Flexible and reliable – shift work, overnights, weekends, and the odd last-minute booking.
* A love of all things furry, feathered, and four-legged.
* Shared values around kindness, care, patience and sustainability (you don't need to be an eco-warrior, but an appreciation for our ethos goes a long way).
The details:
* Initial contract: zero-hours (with potential to grow as the business expands).
* Location: Malmesbury and surrounding areas.
* Pay: competitive, based on service type (per walk, overnight, or drop-in).
Perks & benefits:
* Pension scheme.
* Bank holiday bonus scheme.
* Paid training (e.g. pet first aid, health & safety, manual handling etc).
* Mileage reimbursement.
* Staff discount on pet care.
* Branded uniform allowance.
* Holiday pay (choose to have it paid as you go, or accrue it as time off).
* Genuine opportunity to grow with a new business.
* Company phone number for client contact and pet updates.
