You will help deliver critical reliability and observability capabilities that underpin two major Azure milestones: Gold Dev and Azure General Availability.The ideal candidate will work shoulder-to-shoulder with product, engineering, and leadership stakeholders building and operating the platform health infrastructure that keeps services resilient on a scale.This is a contract Role & Inside IR35Azure SREContract Duration : 6 months!Location: Glasgow, United Kingdom (Onsite)Job Description:Engineer will support Platform Health workstream, focusing on Azure GA readiness and Gold Dev milestones, with emphasis on observability, automation, and secure cloud architecture.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement SLOs/SLIs across user, application, and infrastructure layersBuild Azure platform health solutions using Terraform (IaC)Develop Python-based automation, integrations, and webhook handlersWork with Azure services: Service Health, Resource Graph, Log Analytics, Logic Apps, Storage Tables, Private EndpointsImplement observability solutions (Grafana, alerting, synthetic monitoring)Build event-driven integrations (Kafka, Splunk, REST APIs)Apply cloud security best practices (RBAC, CMK, encryption, Private Endpoints)Collaborate with stakeholdersKey Skills:Strong hands-on Azure platform experienceTerraform (production-level IaC)Python development for automation and integrationsSLO/SLI design & observability tools (Grafana, ThousandEyes/APICA)Event-driven architecture & API integrationsCloud security: RBAC, encryption, CMKExcellent communication skills (English)Candidates will be required to go through background checks before commencing contract.Must be eligibleto live and work in the specifiedwork location .
