Assisting a vibrant young person with learning difficulties and epilepsy throughout the week, providing support following college and during holidays to promote confidence, independence and a safe, enjoyable environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide support and companionship during evenings and weekends.
* Help the young person explore community activities and try new things.
* Encourage independence and development of life skills.
* Assist with daily tasks following college, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Qualifications
* Reliable and responsible.
* Experience or training in supporting individuals with epileptic seizures.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Relevant training or qualifications in health or social care (preferred).
* Eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
* Flexible and adaptable to changing demands or unexpected situations.
* Knowledge of Data Protection and Confidentiality (UK GDPR).
* Full UK driving licence and access to a compatible vehicle with business cover.
Pay & Hours
Hours per week: 10‑13 hrs (approximately 2 hrs daily from 3‑5 pm) with additional hours during college holidays. Pay: £14.00 per hour.
