Local General Contractor and Property Management Broker seeking an experienced Maintenance / Repair Professional to support 200+ rental units across Lancaster, Columbia, York, and Lebanon.
The role involves handling light construction, routine maintenance, service calls, and work during vacancy turnovers. Additionally, there are seasonal small lawn maintenance tasks.
The candidate must be able to troubleshoot, identify, and professionally repair a broad range of maintenance issues. We prioritize high-quality workmanship and are interested in a qualified individual, not a team or handyman service companies. The ideal candidate is skilled, personable, professional, trustworthy, and respectful to tenants.
Most repairs are non-emergency and addressed during daytime hours, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend or evening work. The contractor will review daily/weekly maintenance tasks with our supervisor, prioritize work, and complete repairs independently, submitting daily logs for billing.
Examples of tasks include: leaky faucets, malfunctioning fixtures, drywall repair, drain and toilet issues, roof leaks, siding and spouting repairs, deck repairs, plumbing and electrical work, cabinetry, countertops, window repairs, appliance servicing, and HVAC work.
You must be familiar with proper construction practices, building codes, and perform all work to a professional standard. Poor workmanship and callbacks are unacceptable. Work will be performed in an urban environment.
Applicants must attend an in-person interview and pass a background check. Compensation is negotiable based on skills. We prefer an independent contractor, issuing a 1099 form annually.
