Location: Huddersfield Town Centre Office (parking available)
Salary: NJC Scale SCP 7-11. Starting salary SCP7 (£26,403)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Job Type: We have a vacancy for an Oral Health Worker to to support families and early years settings as part of the Kirklees Supervised Toothbrushing Scheme. The post holder will promote good oral hygiene practices, deliver practical advice, distribute resources, and encourage participation in oral health initiatives. This role is key to improving oral health outcomes for children aged 2–5 in the most deprived areas of Kirklees.
Essential requirements include:
* Experience of working with families and/or volunteers
* Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships
* Knowledge of health promotion or early years development
* Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
* Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and professionalism in the workplace
* Car driver/owner (expenses will be paid)
* Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings/weekends
