About the role
In this security officer role, you will be working in a building that is modern and in pristine condition (internally & externally). Your key role is to maintain the look and feel of the building get to know the people within the community and suggest ways in which the team could provide the best support to the people who work and visit the building. You will need to maintain the building security procedure at night, reporting any findings to the client and security supervisor. This role is also an opportunity for you to develop your knowledge and potentially be available to assist during the day to work FOH with the client from time to time.
You will continuously monitor the building and report any faults as well. You will be flexible and willing to help and act as a key part of the team and part of the building community. During your working hours you will focused on customer service and monitoring the building security, working with the clients FOH team.
We are also looking for an individual who can cover other duties during the day if needed. These are delivering post, monitoring CCTV, supervising the security team, and various other security duties. Understand and strictly adhere to GUK’s procedures and protocols of the building with regards Health & Safety, Security measures and building access control
You will receive full training and we are looking for motivated individuals who will make a measurable contribution to the continued success of GUK.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Carry out walk arounds in the building (internally & externally) to identify any faults ensuring the building is maintained, well presented and clean at all times
2. Reporting faults to the Building Manager
3. Your attitude should always focus on ‘how can we help’ in all situations to the team and to the residents and client
4. Provide information, directions/escort Residents, Guests to their desired locations
5. Deal with any queries from Residents/Guests and offer assistance with a sense of urgency
6. Provide Residents/Guests with acts of kindness to make them feel welcomed and create a rapport maintain excellent professional relationships
7. Understand and strictly adhere to GUK’s procedures and protocols of the building with regards Health & Safety, Security measures and building access control
Must have:
8. SIA licence
9. Right to work in the UK
10. Excellent customer service skills
11. Basic report writing and IT skills and able to compose emails and preparing incident reports.
12. Proactively uses initiative to recognise priorities within own workload
13. Problem solving
14. A good level of spoken and written English
15. Dealing with difficult people and finding solutions
