PRODUCTION
What We Do
Whether it's driving a vision from start to finish or collaborating with teams to inspire and deliver projects of Epic quality, Epic's production teams take pride in consistently delivering world-class products and experiences.
What You'll Do
At Epic, we're looking for a Senior Producer to join the Fortnite Ecosystem Growth team in our Publishing and IP Development group. This is an incredible opportunity to help shape the growth of the ecosystem by bringing world-class IP to Fortnite UEFN creators and players. In this role, you'll work with the internal development team on the vision for and development of features, tools and content based on an IP we want to bring to our developer ecosystem. You will also work across Epic to partner with internal groups to bring releases to Fortnite, both for Fortnite creators and players. As a function of this role, you will seek out and sign developers for UEFN projects and drive the day to day creative direction of UEFN island development. We're looking for someone who is passionate about working in games, possess a technical background and understanding of UGC ecosystems, exhibit a firm understanding of gameplay design, possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will
* Work directly with multiple game discipline producers/leads/directors to successfully drive high velocity, high-impact development cycles, balancing out short-term needs and long-term vision
* Support and drive the success of internal Epic teams with the development of tools, features and content that are released to UEFN developers to create Fortnite games
* Engage with IP holders on participation in our ecosystem. Operate systems for Epic and IP partners to align business, product and technical teams
* Collaborate with game teams across Epic to understand and balance dependencies, deliveries, and output targets
* Organise and collaborate with the internal Epic work systems for the development and release of an IP program into the Fortnite Ecosystem - from marketing to legal to trust & safety to creator publishing
* Communicate proactively and consistently. Collaborate with producers, product managers, and other disciplines on the development teams needed to complete initiatives, understand and report on progress, risks, and mitigations
* Learn and operate publishing workflows for UEFN experiences
What we're looking for
* Previous experience working in a production role where you've managed game development teams in the planning, creation and delivery of high-quality experiences
* Ability to operate at multiple levels - from defining and reporting on high-level strategies to managing the day-to-day delivery of game tea
* Adept at operating within ambiguous situations and high pressure scenarios
* Ability to build strong partnerships at every level and operate programs across a large company with many stakeholders
* A keenness for negotiation to ensure a course can be plotted for all parties to achieve their goals
* A Producer who is keen to prioritise their team's needs first and who works hard to see the whole team succeed and grow together
* Experience in a variety of different production roles and the wearing of many hats across development, publishing, and partner relations. Ideally someone who could function as both a developer and publishing producer - working with internal Epic developers on tools/content and external UEFN developers on signed milestone based projects
* Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to bring clarity and focus in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
This role is open to multiple locations across North America & Europe (including CA).
