The Customer Support & Service Solution (CS3) line of business operates across the UK and export markets, providing innovative and invaluable support solutions to our customers. You will be part of a multi discipline engineering team involved in the back office technical support activities required to support our customers with the in-service support requirements of several products. You will have the opportunity to ensure our customers technical support needs of our products are fulfilled.

What you will do as the Technical Support Engineer:
1. Back Office Technical Support and repair Services for Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems and Products installed in Fixed and Rotary Wing Platforms of UK and Global Customer, in line with contractual requirements
2. Be hands-on with 4th line test equipment, including troubleshooting any issues that may occur, helping to resolve obsolescence issues and sourcing spares
3. Actively managing equipment calibration including carrying out routine maintenance tasks in accordance with equipment schedules
4. You will interact with a range of technical & non-technical project stakeholders across multiple disciplines
5. When required, provide off-site support to UK & Overseas Customer sites and Main Operating Bases
6. Support contractually submitted customer Defect Investigations, Problem Investigations and Technical Query Answer requests
7. Raise and issue technical reports to support Engineering activities.
8. Take ownership of technical support tasks and provide metrics to project stakeholders
9. Key stakeholder in providing support to the Field Service Engineering community, both within the UK and Overseas
10. Actively support knowledge sharing and exploitation of best practice
11. This is a hands-on role where the Engineer is expected to undertake active participation in the resolution of complex problems, providing timely and accurate feedback to internal and external stakeholders
What you’ll bring
We are looking for someone with experience working on complex electronic and electromechanical systems, with an Aerospace and Defence background, with a solid understanding of Fixed and/or Rotary Wing Systems/Hardware/Test Equipment support.
In this role you will be a technically minded person with a good understanding of the project lifecycle and familiar with working across all levels within an Integrated Project Team. In addition to this, you will have some exposure to the following:
12. Knowledge of airborne EW Systems
13. Knowledge and understanding of test equipment across the platform products
14. Knowledge and understanding of Bus Analysers, Spectrum Analysers, RF Power Meters
15. A working understanding of all levels of product support
16. Ability to make informed decisions based on obtaining information from the relevant technical sources
17. An excellent and confident communicator and presenter, with the ability to engage with multiple internal and external stakeholders
18. Ability to effectively manage own time, potentially across multiple activities
