We are currently recruiting 2 Support Workers to join our Support Services Team in Belfast!
Hours of work for this role:
* Guaranteed a minimum of 36 Hours per week
* 12-hour Day and Night Shifts Available
* 8am – 8pm & 8pm – 8am
The successful candidate will work as part of a Support Services Team, delivering a high-quality, safe and effective service to clients that has a positive impact on the wider community in accordance with contractual obligations and company Policies & Procedures.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
* To provide housing-related support to assist clients in living independently in the community (this will not include personal care tasks).
* To be available to work at times appropriate to the changing needs of the client and for the efficient use of staff resources.
* To assist in the assessment of needs and risks as relevant to each client and to assist in setting and attaining realistic and achievable targets.
* To monitor and record the client’s progress and support tasks delivered during shifts.
* To provide a range of services appropriate to the individual's needs.
* To assist clients in developing the skills needed to attain, maintain, and sustain stable tenancies.
* To promote client involvement and active participation in the service.
* To work in a multi-agency manner with relevant professionals.
* To act as an advocate for clients as appropriate.
What we need from you:
* Minimum of one year’s work experience in housing, social care, or an equivalent setting with vulnerable clients (young people, children, or adults).
* Knowledge of safeguarding issues, practices, and procedures.
* Able to demonstrate good recording and reporting skills.
* Proven ability to effectively support and work as a member of a team.
* Good understanding of health & safety.
* Able to demonstrate a good level of IT literacy.
* Strong commitment to quality assurance, continuous improvement, and the delivery of best practice.
* Able to demonstrate flexibility, self-motivation, confidence, and the ability to use initiative.
* Good organisational skills.
* Able to be flexible in approach to work and adaptable to change.
* Ability to work flexible hours when required.
* Full EU driving licence and access to a car.
