We are looking to recruit an experienced IT User Support to work with our IT Team team based in Wolverhampton.
You must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle as this role will require travelling to our office bases as required.
A typical day will be:
Monitor and maintain the firms computer systems and networks.
Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
diagnose hardware/software faults and resolve appropriately
resolve technical and applications problems, via the helpdesk and helpdesk requests, either over the phone or in person.
Ensure a thorough understanding of the firms information systems and how theyre used and apply their technical knowledge/expertise appropriately
troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults;
replacing parts as required;
providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports;
following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system;
supporting the roll-out of new applications;
setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues;
assisting with user training when needed.
responding within agreed time limits to call-outs;
working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate);
prioritising and managing many open cases at one time;
rapidly establishing a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, e.g., software developers;
testing and evaluating new technology and involvement in specific project work as required
Only visual checks, official testing via PAT
Travelling to various sites across the midlands when needed.
This role will from time to time require out of office hours working to ensure downtime and disruption is minimised
