We are supporting a global fruit production and distribution business, majority-owned by a Middle Eastern sovereign wealth fund, in its search for freelance PMO support to assist execution of a group-wide transformation programme.. The client operates across Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia, and is actively pursuing a buy-and-build strategy that has nearly doubled the business over the past two years, primarily through Latin American acquisitions. The transformation programme currently spans approximately fifty active initiatives across process improvement, digital, procurement, supply chain, FP&A, and operating model design. The engagement is a hands-on project management support role — not a leadership mandate — focused on instituting discipline, rhythm, and reporting structure around the existing initiative portfolio.
Responsibilities:
/ Coordinate and run weekly check-ins with globally distributed initiative owners to track progress, surface blockers, and maintain accountability
/ Design and maintain project charters, workplans, and milestone maps for the portfolio of active transformation initiatives
/ Build and operate a benefits tracking framework that connects initiative-level deliverables to business impact
/ Institutionalise a TMO/PMO operating rhythm across Excel and PowerPoint-based tooling, with a view to structured cadence and documentation
/ Escalate risks, blockers, and resourcing needs to the group transformation lead in a clear and structured manner
/ Produce steering-level reporting materials that give group leadership visibility into initiative health, dependencies, and trajectory
/ Coordinate cross-regional workstreams spanning Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia, accounting for time-zone and language differences
/ Support the transformation lead in preparing materials for senior stakeholder and sponsor reviews
Requirements:
/ Possess five to ten years of professional experience in transformation, PMO, or program management contexts, with a consulting or advisory pedigree as the foundation
/ Demonstrate hands-on experience running structured program management cadences — weekly stand-ups, milestone tracking, benefits realization — across multi-initiative portfolios
/ Show proven ability to work autonomously with senior initiative owners while maintaining clear escalation discipline
/ Exhibit proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint as primary working tools, including the ability to build and maintain tracking and reporting artifacts from scratch
/ Demonstrate experience coordinating work across multiple geographies and time zones
/ Possess fluency in English for international business communication
/ Show comfort operating in a support capacity rather than a thought-leadership or strategy-setting role
Nice to Have (but not a must)
/ Working proficiency in Spanish, given the concentration of operational activity and acquisitions across Latin America
/ Prior exposure to PMI / post-merger integration programmes, as the client anticipates a growing integration pipeline tied to its buy-and-build agenda
/ Sector familiarity with agribusiness, fresh produce, food supply chain, or broader consumer goods operations
/ Experience working in PE-backed portfolio company environments
/ Previous exposure to transformation programs in emerging market operating contexts
Scope of Work:
/ This engagement is explicitly scoped as PMO support — not PMO lead. The resource will operate under the direction of the group transformation lead, executing cadence and tracking discipline rather than setting programme strategy or owning initiative outcomes
