Mechanical Estimator Location: London Working Pattern: Hybrid (minimum 4 days per week in the London office) Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Overview An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Estimator to join a busy pre-construction team based in London. This is a growth position due to an increasing workload across commercial and mission-critical projects. The role will focus on preparing mechanical estimates and working closely with electrical estimators, engineering and operations teams. Key Responsibilities Prepare mechanical take-offs and cost estimates Review tender documentation and identify scope, risks and opportunities Price mechanical building services packages (HVAC, plant, pipework, public health where applicable) Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing Produce tender clarifications, exclusions and assumptions Support tender reviews and pre-construction meetings Assist with handover to project delivery teams Project Types Commercial projects (Shell & Core, CAT A / CAT B, refurbishments) Plant replacement and decarbonisation works Mission-critical environments New build, refurb and framework projects Typical project values: £1m - £30m MEP Software Trimble Strong Excel and Word skills Salary & Package £60,000 - £80,000 basic, depending on experience Pension, travel and benefits dependent on candidate Requirements Experience as a Mechanical Estimator within MEP / building services Commercial project experience preferred Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems Stable employment history Interview Process 1st stage: Informal Teams interview 2nd stage: Face-to-face interview in the London office Target start: by end of February
