We’re expanding our in-house compliance division - and we’re looking for an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to join OCO Limited, a trusted provider of water hygiene and property maintenance services across London and the South East.
Join a fast-growing, forward-thinking company that genuinely values its people. You’ll enjoy a competitive salary up to £38,000, company car or van, home-based report writing days, and the chance to play a key role in developing a new department at an organisation with a strong reputation for quality and safety.
About the Role
You’ll be carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments across a diverse portfolio of sites – from local authority housing blocks and communal areas to public buildings and commercial premises. Using your technical expertise, you’ll inspect water systems, identify potential risks, and provide clear recommendations to help safeguard public health and ensure compliance with ACOP L8 and HSG274 guidelines.
You’ll manage your own workload, travelling to site, carrying out inspections, and then completing your detailed reports during dedicated home-based write-up days. This role offers autonomy, variety, and the opportunity to help mentor a trainee assessor as OCO builds out its in-house capability.
What You’ll Be Doing
 * Conduct Legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 and HSG274.
 * Inspect hot and cold water systems, plant rooms, and communal areas to identify risk factors.
 * Produce detailed, accurate, and compliant risk assessment reports.
 * Recommend control measures, management plans, and monitoring regimes.
 * Mentor and support the trainee risk assessor where required.
 * Maintain and calibrate assessment equipment in accordance with company procedures.
What We’re Looking For
 * Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Legionella Risk Assessor.
 * City & Guilds qualification (or equivalent) in Legionella Risk Assessment.
 * Strong technical understanding of water hygiene systems.
 * Excellent report writing and communication skills.
 * Full UK driving licence.
 * Based within or around the M25 - ideally near Southwark, Kent, or Essex - to ensure easy access to key client sites.
 * Comfortable working at heights and in plant rooms.
Why You’ll Love Working with OCO

 * Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
 * Location: Field-based, with home-based report writing days
 * Benefits:
