Unit Role: Unit Role: To develop the leadership potential of selected university students through enjoyable and challenging training, raising awareness of the Army's ethos and building interest in its career opportunities; in order to secure their commitment, whether as officers or as future leaders in their chosen profession, to champion the Army in society Position Role: Chef Responsibilities: Responsible to the QM/RQMS for all matters on messing within the unit. Assist with the day-to-day running of any kitchen when in use and responsible for the condition when out of use. Ensure that the quality, quantity, preparation and presentation of food are of the highest standards and comply with current food safety rules. Assist the Master Chef (When post is filled) with the training of the unit chefs and is to ensure they attend the required courses in preparation for promotion. Assist the Master Chef in making sure that all staff are aware of all current food safety rules and that these are implemented Assist with food preparation and delivery on unit Drill nights, functions or Visits. There may be a requirement for additional tasks to be carried out. These additional tasks will be passed through to the RQMS (Line Manager) Via the QM. You are to carry out ITRs as per Unit Guidelines
