Job Description:
* An exciting opportunity has opened within the Supply Chain Operations organisation for the position of Supply Officer, based in Client location.
* The successful candidate will drive supplier performance across the end-to-end supply chain in a fast-moving, digital environment.
* This role manages a portfolio of suppliers in support of all client Wing Programmes.
* Client operates a global supply chain, and this position plays a key role in ensuring continuity of supply to operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Daily management of the supplier portfolio using existing business tools and future digitalisation means
* Anticipation of risks and driving mitigation actions
* Demand and forecast control
* Effective communication with internal customers, team colleagues, and external suppliers
* Supply chain prioritisation
* Challenge supplier performance where appropriate
* Lead and drive supplier recovery actions
* Understand and define optimal ordering characteristics and strategy
* Specify and use process automation
* Use data management tools to drive supply chain decisions
* Order Book Management and maintenance of MRP Master Data
* Coordinate Supplier Working Parties
* Interact transnationally with suppliers (remotely and/or on-site) and proactively operate in the procurement community as a partner to the Supply Chain Quality Manager and Commercial Buyer
* Act as the first point of contact for supply chain queries from operations
* Own and optimise procured goods stock
* Support supply chain and logistics transformation projects to create the future
Skill Set & Experience Required
* Solid experience ideally in one or more of the following areas:
* Supply Chain
* Procurement
* Manufacturing Engineering
* Design Engineering
* Experience in the use and deployment of digital solutions and tools
* Experience of transnational working
* MRP expertise and experience of SAP in a manufacturing environment
* Strong problem-solving capability
* Good teamwork ethic
* Project management and LEAN experience
* Ability to communicate at all levels of the business
* Willingness to travel and flexibility
